This post is going to be short & sweet, just like the recipe. (Well maybe not sweet!) Lemon Beans - probably one of the easiest things you will ever make, but as a simple side dish they can really elevate your meal to another level.
If you can boil water you can make these. My Lemon Beans are that simple.
Just like I promised, short & sweet! Easy, no fuss cooking. Definitely Chef Not Required...
Enjoy your beans!

📖 Recipe
Ingredients
- 500 g green beans trimmed
- zest of one lemon
- juice of one lemon
- 2 teaspoon olive oil
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to the boil, add the beans then bring back to the boil
- Boil beans for 5-8 mins - depending on your preferred texture
- Once beans are cooked to your liking then drain immediately into a sieve or a colander, return the beans to the now dry pot, add lemon juice, zest, salt & pepper to taste & serve
Notes
This might seem like an obvious tip - but if you are using the same lemon for the juice & zest - zest it first!!! Sounds obvious I know, but I actually did it the other way around once - a long time ago - but still...
