They are sweet. This cocktail is sweet as well! It is based on the Spanish Licor 43. An ultra-sweet drink that you can drink neat but mixes even better. Licor 43 Cocktail Ingredients
If you want to make this refreshing cocktail make sure you have the following ingredients on your list:
- Licor 43
- San Pellegrino sparkling water
- Sliced lemon
- Sliced orange
- Ice cubes

How To Make A Refreshing Licor 43 Cocktail?
So how do we make this cocktail? It is ultra-easy to make and only requires 3 ingredients. Take a slice of lemon and orange and squeeze the juice into a glass.
Then fill the glass and add ice cubes to the rim. The next step is to measure about 35 ml of Licor 43.
This Spanish liquor is really quite strong and just like with Tinto de Verano it needs a little pop in your glass.
That is why I fill the remainder of the glass with about 80 to 90 ml of sparkling water.
I use San Pellegrino as it has a nice soft taste even if it is just sparkling water but you can add any type of sparkling water you like.
Decorate your cocktail with slices of lemon and slices of orange and add to the glass. That’s it!
When you first add the Licor 43 to the glass and put the sparkling water on top of it you will have a sunrise in your glass.

What Is Licor 43?
Licor 43 is a Spanish drink made with 43 ingredients.
It is a family recipe that was first made more than 70 years ago and all of the ingredients are kept a secret.
Licor 43 went viral with all the tourists that came to Spain and discovered this liqueur. The next step was to export it and the rest of the world discovered this sweet drink.
I do not know which ingredients are part of Licor 43 but I can taste citrus and vanilla. The consistency is rather thick and almost syrup-like.
You can drink Licor 43 neat without any additions, on the rocks, or as a cocktail. In all cases, this drink is a sweet treat.
What Flavor has Licor 43?
The main flavors of this Spanish liqueur are made up of several Mediterranean citrus fruits, vanilla, and caramel.
It also contains many herbs but also spices. The bright yellow color corresponds well with the sweet flavor and complexity of the drink.

Refreshing licor 43 cocktail
Drink this refreshing Licor 43 cocktail on a Summer night but also in front of a cozy fire. So do you want to know how to make this cocktail?
Ingredients
- 30 ml Licor 43 per glass
- 90 ml San Pellegrino sparkling water
- ice cubes
- half a lemon sliced
- half a orange sliced
Instructions
- Fill two glasses with ice cubes
- Add 30 ml of Licor 43 per glass
- Then fill with San Pellegrino sparkling water to the rim of he glass
- Add slices of orange and lemon to the glass
- Serve immediately
