Happy Organic Acai Maqui Bowl

I told you I am into smoothie bowls lately. I have a smoothie every day but I don’t like to blend everything into my smoothie. I prefer certain fruits, seeds/nuts, and even veggies as toppings. A smoothie bowl is a great way to jazz up your smoothie life. They are great for lunch and quite filling. I love acai so I thought I would share my favourite acai blend by Sunfood, the Organic Acai Maqui Bowl Mix. I love this mix because it’s a mix of Acai, Maqui, Blueberry, Red Maca, Chia, Lucuma, and Banana. It’s a vitamin rich blend of Vitamin A (vision, bone health & cell maintenance), Vitamin C (antioxidant & immunity), Vitamin B1 (metabolism), Vitamin B3 (cell growth), Omega-3 (fatty acids), Calcium (bone health), Potassium (blood pressure control) and Magnesium (immune and bone health support).

Yes, there’s cucumber in this recipe. I love cucumber, therefore, I add it to every smoothie! (P.s. it contains silica which is great for hair, skin, and nails.)

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup of Almond Milk
  • 3 medium slices of Cucumber
  • 1/2 a frozen Mango cubed
  • 2 frozen Strawberries
  • 1 banana
  • 2 Tbsp Açaí Maqui Bowl Mix
  • 1 tsp of grounded Flax Seeds
  • 1 tsp of Cocao Nibs
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to blender.
  2. Slowly add Almond Milk (add more if need) until creamy consistency.
  3. Top with toppings of your choice!
Notes
I used frozen fruits. Prep your fruits and freeze them. I topped this bowl with raspberries, blueberries, and cacao nibs. Remember cucumber has a high water content, therefore, don’t add too much liquid unless needed.
